Looking for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists

We offer the opportunity to work from home, the ability to make your own schedule, the ability to work with a diverse population using various modalities, and paid supervision to accrue hours towards licensure.

We are a growing Mental Health Clinic, based out of the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys, that offers opportunities to work from home providing therapy via online video modalities, the ability to see clients face-to-face in a provided office space, or a combination of both. We also offer the ability to make your own schedule where you choose the days and hours you work.

We are providing AMFTs and APCCs with an alternative to earning hours towards licensure in a Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health affiliated facility. We offer AMFTs and APCCs the opportunity to earn their hours in a relaxed, supportive, and flexible environment that emphasizes learning how to provide quality care as opposed to adhering to a rigid protocol. We also offer new, up-and-coming therapists mentoring for career growth and coaching on how to expand into the world of private practice upon obtaining licensure.

The Position: We are looking for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors who have a Master's Degree and a registered Associate number with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

We provide:

  • Compensation while you earn hours for licensure

  • The opportunity to administer services to various populations in order to get a well-rounded experience and to meet BBS pre-exam requirements

  • Paid sick leave

  • Paid individual and group supervision with a veteran MFT who has a well-rounded career in the mental health field

  • Full-time and part-time positions are available, however, full-time availability is highly desirable.

Requirements & Responsibilities

  • A valid AMFT # provided by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences and a NPI # with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. (A NPI # can be obtained by applying directly through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website.)

  • Ability to work 20-40 hours per week (40 hours per week is preferable). There will be flexibility and the ability to choose the days/hours you work. Our structure allows for this job to be either a primary or secondary job.

  • Ability to manage all aspects of a caseload. This includes reaching out to clients the day before visits to confirm appointments, reaching out to clients who “no show” or cancel last minute to collect “no show” fees, and maintaining a strong therapeutic rapport to promote client’s showing consistently (keeping “no show” and last-minute cancelation percentages low).

  • Ability to complete documentation in a timely manner. There will be an expectation that documentation is completed on the same day that sessions are completed, prior to the end of shifts. Please note that the documentation process we utilize is simplistic and not exhaustive. This clinic is not affiliated with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and we do not use DMH forms. The same-day completion of the simplistic documentation being asked is reasonable and achievable. Furthermore, we will provide additional time for documentation to be completed if necessary.

  • Keep all BBS documentation, daily schedules, and calendars up to date in real-time.

Location

  • Applicants will have the opportunity to work from home and/or work from an office space located in the Santa Clarita Valley. The office space is clean, up-to-date, fully furnished, and safe. Employees can use the office space detailed above, solely work from home, or a combination of both.

Why Should You Apply

  • The opportunity to have a paid internship outside the intense environment that LAC-DMH affiliated employers provide

  • Mentoring for career growth and coaching on how to pursue career goals, including opening a private practice upon licensure

  • Flexible work schedule and ability to make your own hours

  • Supervision from a staff of seasoned, veteran clinicians (We promote and encourage occupational growth and will support you in this process!)

  • We can offer you the opportunity to supplement income from another job by developing a schedule that can fit well with hours worked with a different employer.

What is Needed to Apply

  • To apply with our clinic, please email your resume/CV to: brandon@gureskymentalhealth.com

Looking for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers

We offer the opportunity to work from home, the ability to make your own schedule, and competitive pay.
